On November 17, I arrived at school and opened my car door to find this huge squirrel just hanging around. It must be used to getting handouts, or something, because it was very interested in what I was doing. Later, I decided to name it "Bonzo, the Sumo-Squirrel."
Bonzo by my car door.
Do you have any treats for me? (I'm sorry, I don't. I don't like to feed wildlife.)
Well, I guess I'll go then... You sure you don't have food?
I saw Bonzo again the next day -- distinguishable by the missing tail end -- waddling up the walkway. My students have seen this squirrel as well! I've noticed the squirrels here are getting quite fat -- what does this foretell about the winter weather? -- but none so fat as Bonzo.
