The very next day

So imagine my surprise when I woke up on January 27 to this:

By the afternoon, it had rained a bit so the snow was starting to melt, but there was still some on the ground at school.

I guess in Portland snow is a rare enough occurrence that it's exciting for the kids, but it happens often enough that they know what to do. :)
