My chicken schnitzel. Very tasty -- almost as good as mother makes! -- but the portions are much too big, especially if you start with fondue and want a dessert.

30th - Part 1: Gustav's
The last weekend of August marked my 3oth (!) birthday. By chance, we had a number of people visiting that weekend. My parents had a friend in town, and David's dad and his wife came down from Seattle as well. We started the celebrations off with a Friday night dinner at Gustav's, a German restaurant we discovered near Washington Square. Yummy cheese fondue!
