Ever since that birthday party (20?) years ago where I had my friends over for a taco party, homemade tacos have been my birthday dinner of choice. My parents were still settling in to their new rental house, but they were able to host dinner.

I've recently started putting on cheese first. That way it melts onto the tortilla once the warm meat is put on, and the melted cheese helps hold the tortilla together.
Yum!
We finished the evening with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream.
