Jáce Gáce

Last Sunday, September 21, we struck out for SE Portland and the Belmont district to try Jáce Gáce, a waffle-only restaurant I'd read about in Portland Monthly. Oddly, everywhere I've been to in East Portland reminds me of Berkeley.

The interior of Jáce Gáce. They've got an art gallery space in the back there.

Delicious hot cocoa.

My waffles rancheros. It doesn't look particularly appetizing, but it was tasty. I especially liked the corn meal waffle. The poached eggs and beans were also nice, but the salsa was the kind I don't prefer: I think it's too many green peppers and too much cumin. Next time I'll try a sweet waffle.
