On Thursday (12/18), school closure wasn't called until early that morning, when the snow started to fall again.

Big fluffy snowflakes.
It accumulated quickly.
Later that day, the sun came out for a while:
That bit of sunshine was enough to determine me to get out for a while. I drove, chainless, to the Hillsboro REI to pick up an order and do a bit of shopping. It was in the upper 30s and partly sunny -- I found myself having to peel off a layer to remain comfortable. Interesting how your body adjusts. To find 37 degrees warm? Crazy.
